Duties include interviewing residents and families, completing and organizing required paperwork and signatures, orienting residents, assigning rooms, and maintaining up-to-date bed availability records. This role coordinates admissions, transfers, and discharges, collaborates with nursing and other departments, and ensures confidentiality and accuracy in all resident-related documentation. Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential. Additional responsibilities include greeting new residents and families, helping gather and complete all required admission paperwork, notifying nursing staff when new residents arrive, providing admissions packets and reviewing important information with residents/guardians, and working closely with multiple departments to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
