Position: Tile Setter

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled  Final Finish Technician  to join our modular home manufacturing team. This role is responsible for completing the final stages of home construction, ensuring all finishing touches meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, a strong understanding of blueprints, and a commitment to craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize hand, power, and air tools to perform finishing tasks.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and production diagrams.
• Accurately measure using standard tape measures and perform basic math, including fractions.
• Complete plumbing and electrical testing.
• Install and finish various home components including:
• Ceramic tile, appliances, drapes, mini blinds, door stops, shower doors, registers, tissue holders, towel rings, light bulbs, and light globes.

• Patch and seal areas such as belly wraps and utility compartments.
• Perform final cleaning and puttying of walls to ensure a polished appearance.
• Prepare homes for shipment by bracing structures and applying protective plastic wrap.
• Ensure all construction complies with DAPIA-approved prints and standards.

  Additional Duties:

  • Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of individual work area and general plant environment.
  • Flexibility to support other functional areas of production as needed.

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in construction, carpentry, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools and performing basic math operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
